EDUCATION Rachael Gibson has had a love for theater and film since she could walk, and it wasn’t until she reached high school that she became more serious about her work. She continued her studies at Metropolitan State University of Denver achieving her Bachelor’s Degree of arts with an emphasis in Screenwriting and theater/film tech, and graduated in May of 2016. Once she began her studies at Metropolitan State University of Denver, she began simultaneously working on her fine art work as well as pursuing commercial jobs. The commercial work she created in 2016 appears in the films HEAT and Barking Brave. Her most recent work as a scenic artist appears in the 2015-2016 season at the DENver center for the Performing Arts plays. Her background is in working as a sfx and beauty makeup artist and costumer, however she has also worked as a props artisan, carpenter, lighting rigger, and a scenic artist.
WORK EXPERIENCE She has completed an internship at the Denver Center for the Performing Arts for the 2015-2015 season as a scenic artist. She was hired by Mythraeum LLC Productions as a makeup artist and wardrobe head and by Barking Brave Productions as production designer. Rachael Gibson currently works as a freelance makeup artist and theater/film technician.
PHILOSOPHY Rachael Gibson believes that As long as you are willing to try and work hard for what you want you can achieve anything. she brings this work ethic and determination into all that she does so that she can deliver exceptional service. her favorite part of her work is seeing the audience and her coworkers stare in wonder at their creation or story come to life before their eyes.
